Who we are
EquityWise is an independent editorial project run by a small team that researches home-finance topics and explains them in plain English. We are not a lender, mortgage broker or financial advisor, and we never present our content as financial advice.
How we create content
- We research using authoritative sources such as the CFPB and FTC (see our methodology).
- We write plainly and avoid hype or pushing specific lenders.
- We label estimates as illustrative and review content periodically.
Our standards
- Accuracy first — if we can't verify it, we don't state it as fact.
- No conflicts — we don't sell leads or accept payment to recommend a specific lender or product.
- Transparency — we run advertising (see our privacy policy), clearly separated from editorial content.
- Corrections — we fix errors promptly when readers flag them.
